This article made me think long and hard about why people choose to be educators. Either you embrace learning and have a strong desire yourself to continue educating both yourself and your students OR you are just coming and going to work!

In this age, technology is pushing forward at a more tremendous pace than ever before. This is obvious. The undetermined after effects of this new electronic era are not so obvious. What is new today is sure to be pushed to the back of the line faster than you or I can imagine. It makes trying to keep up with everything that is new and exciting almost impossible if you’re not dedicated to doing the required research. So, what do we care? Well, whether we like it or not as teachers, we will have to educate the next generation to be electronic savvy.

Series 12 Flexible Learning Toolboxes (Toolboxes), expected to be available for purchase in early 2010, are now available for preview at: http://toolboxes.flexiblelearning.net.au/preview/byseries.htm
The Toolboxes are currently being developed in consultation with Industry Skills Councils to support the delivery of nationally endorsed training packages and address skills shortages and e-learning resource needs in priority industries.
